Some of us, it will take one, “Go and marry” from somebody that will make you cry before you take marital destiny serious.

It will sometimes take one painful, “Your mates…” to make you realize you are no longer a child so you must begin to take responsibility for your life.

I was recently reading the story to Hannah and I realised that it was Peninnah’s continuous provocation that made Hannah more desperate for a child.

1Sam.1.6 – And because the LORD had closed her womb, her rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her.

1Sam.1.7 – This went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the LORD, her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat.

Same with the story of Rachael and Leah.

Some unpleasant circumstances are not here to destroy you, but to challenge you…and oh you will definitely not like the experience. That is the aim actually.

So it will sometimes take one embarrassment by poverty to make you vow never to be poor again.

You could be toying with sin or addiction and think it is not that serious until one of the many consequences befalls you…may we not get there…

….then you will realize you must stop it once and for all!

Some of us are comfortable with our situations because it has not disgraced us yet. If it takes God one disgrace to wake you up from your slumber He will do it.

Peninnah pushed Hannah to Shiloh.

Some rivals are needed in your journey to destiny to set fire in your bossom.

Exactly how some competitors are needed to keep you on your toes.

How?

For some of us, someone that sells exactly what you sell will have to open his shop next to yours to teach you how to treat customers right and add excellence to your products and services.

To some, it is one hot breakfast that will make you realize you need to work on that character defect.

May we voluntarily walk into Shiloh and not be provoked there!!!!
