Pick Up The Call

September 29, 2022

There was this mischievous thing we used to do when we were younger, I don’t know about you but I did it Wella
Whenever our mothers called us we pretended as if we didn’t hear.
You will now say, “Let her call me again for the second time before I answer”
If lucky you, she doesn’t call you again, you become happy, and then they call the other person who said you were not around.
E dey pain when you hear, “oya you come”
(The new tactic became you stay silent)😂😂😂
But that’s by the way. My focus is on the person who answered on your behalf.
One thing I discovered is this is exactly like the call of God.
Many of us would be saying “let him call me again”, ohhhhhj, He may not!
Why?
Because someone answered the first call on your behalf. And that is the person that would be used.
You don’t get used by God because you were the called, you get used because you were the one that answered and made yourself available.
There’s a call on every man or woman, it takes courage to answer.
Some of us have refused to pick the call of God because we are “busy”.
“I’m in school, I have a job, I have a husband and children”, “I’m too young” etc
Without knowing that the call rings out.
So you say, “I’ll call back” until you discover that thirty years later you have not called back.
Some of us pick up the call and hang up.
God called you, you started doing the work and then you stopped.
Why? Because people say you dey overdo.
Nobody has the monopoly of a call, once it rings out, once you hang up, the call will be placed to another.
Note that when I am talking about calling, I am not talking about “ministry” as many assume, I am talking about the deposits of God upon your life.
If you let it dormant, God will raise another with the same deposit who will do the work.
Pick the call while it is still ringing.
